“Remember, it doesn’t matter how deep into a posture you go – what does matter is who you are when you get there.” ~ Max Strom
*sigh... I'm closing in on my last week of guided sadhana with Zac and 15 other yogis at 7 Centers Yoga Arts Academy.
I've spent this day catching up on a little sleep (slept in until 9), yoga with Nathan at Sedona Hot Yoga, and sharing love with others.... I've been so happy lately... it's hard to tell exactly which part of my life is providing it all... yoga... teaching... friends... new loves and lights in my life. I feel blessed and grateful. A little tired ;) but still full of enthusiasm. I'm looking forward to February... to being a whole year younger/older in my life. To meditating on what that means exactly. Everything is so temporary.... making every second of my days so sacred and special. The more I realize this as the truth, the more I somehow hold on tighter while still letting go... it's hard to explain... it's all so bittersweet. Thank you sweet yogi's for joining me this evening and for giving your all.... for being present... and for sending so much gratitude and love into the world. You're amazing! Namaste! ♥ Ashley Cruz Each day just gets sweeter and sweeter. I never want to end my sadhana... I hope I continue to have the discipline to rise and shine early with the sun... to nourish my body with oils and massage and cold showers.... I hope I continue to practice with love and from my heart. That I study yoga with diligence and persistence. I am so happy. I could ask for nothing more. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
Ahh what a morning. I practiced Yoga and Pranayama from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. and then taught a Hot Vinyasa Class at Sedona Hot Yoga at 8:30 a.m. I was a little tired by the time I got to Sedona Hot Yoga, but then 16 beautiful students sent energy and love and vigor into the room and now I am wide awake. *sigh... thank you all for coming and creating such a blessed space with me. I hope to see you again at Sedona Hot Yoga tomorrow at either 4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. or on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
This month we have focused on releasing our fears and beginning our new year out strong, present and with vigor.... NEXT MONTH: The flow changes to focus on heart openers, the Anahata Chakra, and moving with grace and love from the heart and not just the mind. Ohhhhh Valentines Day :) Om, Shanti, Shanti, Shanti |

❤ WHAT STUDENTS SAY ABOUT ASHLEY CRUZ YOGA ❤
"From Aldea Yanapay (great school of love to children), to the incredible homely hostel la boheme, to the food at mercado san blas and at greenpoint... My 6 weeks in Cusco/Qosqo/centre/gravitational centre were all truly well balanced out by Ashley ● I have been doing yoga for five years in London, Lisbon and NYC and I was wonderfully surprised by the teacher Ashley in Cusco, Peru. From her words, to the sense of opportunity, helping, the pace, the getting everyone's names and brief "why am I here", taste for music and simply those oils... vinyasa gained a new look for me. ● You made me feel so balanced out, just when I needed that push. May your excellent work continue and your knowledge be taken further." ~ Yours, Ana Maria (portugal)
